After completing the onboarding, choose your athlete’s backstory — this determines your starting attributes, finances, and initial equipment. Your first race is available as soon as you enter the World Map.
Your backstory (City Kid, Middle Class, or Poor Background) affects your starting Gold balance, base attributes, and early-game sponsorship opportunities. Each has distinct trade-offs between starting wealth and raw athletic potential.
A false start occurs when your reaction time is too fast (under the legal threshold). Every athlete — including the world’s best — can false start. It is part of the game’s realism. You can purchase a Race Rerun card from the Shop to redo a race.
Each week you can assign training sessions across disciplines (Gym, Physio, School, Café, Diet). Some session types have weekly soft caps to prevent overtraining — for example, Physio + Rest is capped at 2 sessions per week. Exceeding a cap is prevented by the game. Your coach will also apply automatic sessions at the start of each week based on your training plan.
Each attribute has an accumulator. Small training gains fill the accumulator until it tips over, increasing the displayed attribute value. Tap any attribute in the Attribute View to see its current accumulator percentage and which sessions train it.
Sponsors set a ranking target you must reach to maintain the deal. Your ranking is automatically checked during time progression. If you fall below the target at the review date, the sponsorship may lapse. Current deal terms are always visible in the Sponsor View.
Higher-tier competitions (including Olympics and World Championships) include preliminary heats before the final. Appearing in a heat pays a participation bonus. Finishing in the final pays a larger prize. Both payments are made, so finalists receive two payments for the same event.
Go to Settings → Restore Purchases inside the App. This re-validates all past transactions with Apple. If the issue persists, contact us with your Apple Order ID (found in your App Store purchase receipt email).
Refunds are processed by Apple, not by us. Visit https://reportaproblem.apple.com, find the transaction, and request a refund there.
Gold is the in-game currency. You spend it on shoes, equipment, training, lifestyle upgrades, healthcare, and race entries. You earn it through race prizes, sponsorships, and heat participation bonuses.
Go to Settings (gear icon on the World Map) and toggle iCloud Sync on. The App will prompt you to restart. After restarting, your game data will sync across all your devices signed into the same Apple ID.
When iCloud Sync is first enabled, it may take a moment for the cloud store to load. Force-quit the App and reopen it. If your data still doesn’t appear after a minute or two, contact us — we can walk you through recovery steps.
Yes — enable iCloud Sync on your old device first, then sign into the same Apple ID on your new device, install the App, and enable iCloud Sync. Your career will be restored automatically.
Uninstall the App to clear local data. To remove iCloud data, go to iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → False Start → Delete Data.
Make sure you are signed into Game Center. Some achievements are checked at specific moments (race finish, career milestones). If it still hasn’t unlocked, try force-quitting and reopening the App, as Game Center sometimes has a short sync delay.
Leaderboard scores are submitted at key milestone events. Ensure you have an active internet connection when those events occur. Offline scores are submitted the next time you connect.
Force-quit the App (swipe up from the Home indicator), then reopen it. False Start saves your progress continuously — you should not lose data from a crash. If the crash repeats consistently, please report it using the Report a problem link with as much detail as possible.
Close other apps running in the background, then reopen False Start. If slowness persists on a supported device, please contact us with your device model and iOS version.
