False Start – Sprinter Life

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 4, 2026

False Start (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding that information when you use False Start (the “App”).

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

False Start is a single-player career simulation game. You do not create an account with us and we do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifying information directly.

1.2 Game Progress Data

Your game state — including your athlete’s career progression, race history, training logs, finances, equipment, and settings — is stored locally on your device using Apple’s Core Data framework. If you enable iCloud Sync in the App’s settings, this data is also stored in your private iCloud account via Apple’s CloudKit service. We do not have access to your iCloud data; it is stored and managed entirely by Apple under your Apple ID.

1.3 Game Center

If you are signed in to Game Center and use its features within the App, Apple collects and processes data in accordance with https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/. We receive anonymized achievement and leaderboard data through GameKit APIs. We do not receive your Apple ID, real name, or contact information through Game Center.

1.4 In-App Purchases

In-App Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not collect, process, or store your payment information. Purchase receipts are handled exclusively by Apple. We only receive confirmation of whether a purchase was completed successfully.

1.5 Device & Usage Data

We do not use third-party analytics SDKs. We do not collect crash reports, usage telemetry, advertising identifiers (IDFA), or behavioral analytics data. No data is transmitted to our servers because False Start has no backend server.

1.6 Local Notifications

The App may request permission to send you local notifications (e.g., weekly race reminders). These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your device by iOS. No notification content or delivery data is transmitted to us.

2. How We Use Information

Because we collect no personal information and operate no backend infrastructure, there is no personal data for us to use, sell, share, or process. The only data the App handles is your local game save, which stays on your device (and optionally in your private iCloud).

3. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following Apple platform services, each governed by Apple’s own privacy policy:

Service Purpose Apple Privacy Reference
CloudKit / iCloud Optional cross-device game sync apple.com/legal/privacy
Game Center Achievements and leaderboards apple.com/legal/privacy
StoreKit 2 In-App Purchase processing apple.com/legal/privacy

We do not integrate any third-party advertising networks, social login providers, or analytics platforms.

4. Children’s Privacy

False Start does not target children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App does not require account registration or any personal data input. Because all data is stored locally on the user’s device or in their private iCloud account, the App is designed to be safe for all ages. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the address below and we will investigate.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Your game data lives on your device. To delete it:

  • Uninstall the App to remove all locally stored game data.
  • To remove iCloud data: go to Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → False Start → Delete Data.

We have no copies of your data on our servers and cannot delete it on your behalf.

6. Security

Game data stored locally is protected by iOS’s built-in data protection mechanisms. iCloud-synced data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple. We follow Apple’s platform best practices and do not implement any custom data transmission that could introduce vulnerabilities.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

8. Contact Us

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us.
